Part Time Counsellor
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct initial assessments to understand clients' concerns and relationship dynamics.
Develop personalized counselling plans based on clients' needs and goals.
Facilitate individual and joint counselling sessions with couples.
Employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address issues such as communication, trust, conflict resolution, and intimacy.
Provide guidance and support for couples dealing with significant life changes or stressors.
Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of counselling sessions and client progress.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum qualification is Post Graduate Degree in Counselling (PGD).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in marriage or couples counselling.
- Experience working with diverse populations and understanding multicultural perspectives in relationships.
- Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices in relationship counselling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emotional and high-stress situations.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Counsellor will only service Syariah Court Cases.
- Counsellor will be attached to a fixed schedule of the SYC cases upon confirmation of the counsellor’s availability dates.
- Counsellor will serve for each month of:
- alternate weeks
- a minimum of 8 cases per month
- 2 cases per day (1 weekday and 1 Saturday)
