In the Islamic lunar calendar, Zulhijjah holds a revered status as the twelfth and final month. This month carries profound spiritual significance for Muslims worldwide, marked by significant dates and events that encapsulate both historical narratives and profound religious practices. One of the foremost events within Zulhijjah is the Hajj pilgrimage, where millions of Muslims converge upon the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia. This annual pilgrimage retraces the footsteps of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and his family, fulfilling one of the Five Pillars of Islam.

About Speaker:
Ustazah Nadia Hanim is passionate about empowering different members of the community. With her Advanced Diploma in Special Education, she developed the Quranic Studies curriculum for MIJ Special Education Hub, a full-time English-language holistic program for children with special needs. She believes that women should raise each other up and not tear each other down and has given talks and organized events for ladies from all over the world.
Ustazah Nadia currently heads Al-Wafa’, an institute that aims to provide moral and spiritual guidance and illuminate souls through knowledge and wisdom. Before graduating with B.A. Usuluddin from Al-Azhar University, she studied women’s fiqh extensively at Daruz Zahra in Tarim Hadramaut, Yemen. Ustazah Nadia is also an honorary council member of Islamic Scholars and Teachers Association of Singapore (PERGAS).
Ustaz Ahmad Faritz loves connecting with youth and seeks to empower them to be compassionate and caring contributors to society. To that end, he has conducted many enrichment and training programmes, in collaboration with organizations such as the Muslim Youth Forum (MYF). Ustaz Faritz is a Public Relations Officer at the Health Office of the UAE Embassy. After spending 12 years of his education at Madrasah Wak Tanjong Al-Islamiah, he furthered his studies at Al-Azhar University and was conferred the B.A. of Islamic Jurisprudence. He is currently the Head of Religious Guidance & Community Development, Masjid Al-Falah.
